Brandon Rawlinson, D.O., specializes in family medicine at Utica Park Clinic and is fluent in speaking Spanish. His professional areas of interest include diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, COPD, asthma, weight loss, depression, anxiety, sports medicine, joint and muscle pain, migraines, headaches and men’s and women’s health.
Dr. Rawlinson’s inspiration to pursue medicine began at a young age with an interest in science that very quickly evolved into a strong desire to become a physician.
After completing medical school, Dr. Rawlinson decided to continue his focus on being a family medicine provider. He said, “I enjoy the diversity of medical encounters that family medicine provides and the opportunity to follow patients over a long period of time.”
Now, as he cares for patients and builds relationships, Dr. Rawlinson says he does so by, “…striving to provide a humanistic and empathetic approach that adapts to all walks of life and medical scenarios that a diverse population presents.”
A piece of advice Dr. Rawlinson likes to remind his patients is that a healthy diet and some exercise can go a very long way.
Dr. Rawlinson’s education includes:
• Residency in family medicine at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS), 2023
• Doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS), 2020
• Master’s degree in biomedical sciences at Midwestern University-Glendale, 2015
• Bachelor’s degree in zoology with a minor in Spanish at the University of Oklahoma, 2013
When Dr. Rawlinson isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing and watching sports, tinkering with computers and cars, learning history, playing video games with friends, listening to music, exploring natural parks, avoiding doing the dishes and enjoying a smooth glass of chocolate milk.
