Bailey Medical Center is now offering an online breastfeeding class that will allow you to learn the information at your own pace. There will be in-person classes occurring once a month on a Tuesday, beginning at 6 p.m., where you and your support person will be able to meet with our IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) certified instructor and be able to ask questions.
Once you have signed up for an in-person class, you'll receive an email with instructions on where to pick up your booklet, which has an access code to instructional videos that you can watch at your convenience and will guide you through the course at your own pace.
Topics you will learn about in the course include:
- Advantages of breastfeeding
- Your anatomy
- Supply and demand theory
- Techniques and positioning
- Breast pumps
- Much more!
Each class will be free at limited capacities and will begin at 6 p.m.
Please Note:
Masks are optional for guests to wear at in-person events.
In the event of inclement weather, we will follow the Owasso Public School closings. The class will be canceled and rescheduled via phone calls to all participants by 3 p.m. the day of class.
