Inside Bailey - Julia “JP” Profit, RN

JP has been a Labor and Delivery nurse for 15 years. She joined Bailey Medical Center in 2008 as a manager for the OB department. She brought years of clinical experience in the Maternal/Child nursing specialty and developed the Bailey’s Babies Childbirth Education Program. The program includes childbirth class and infant CPR to our patients and the community. This program is also offered to the community. She is an active member of the Tulsa Health Department’s Tulsa Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Project (TFIMR), in which she has served for 7 years. She is very interested and takes great pride in the improvement for healthier newborns in the state of Oklahoma. JP has been a guest speaker for the Tulsa Health Department and throughout the community discussing the importance of safe sleep and other newborn care topics. The Bailey OB department will continue to serve the Owasso and surrounding communities with quality family focused patient care.  JP is most proud to be a member of the Bailey Medical Center family and the excellent team of physicians that care for our patients.

The Bailey Birth Center has four beautifully spacious LDPR rooms, a two bed triage area, and an OR suite on the unit. We also have a fully equipped Level I newborn nursery. Most of our parents prefer the rooming-in options, which allows the newborn to remain in mom’s room most of the hospitalization.  We have cozy sleep accommodations for our dads within each LDRP room.
